On 21st July 2014 the cruise ship MS Prisendam visited Killybegs. With 820 passengers and 420 crew, Killybegs Information Center were on hand to welcome the visitors to Killybegs and to ensure that they experienced all the best that the area has to offer. On arrival in Killybegs the visitors were invited to the Bay View Hotel where they were delighted with a display of traditional Irish dancing and music, which was enjoyed by everyone.
The Hidden Gems Tour organised and guided by Killybegs Information Center was very popular and as always the passengers were treated to a tour of some of Donegal’s most beautiful scenic locations such as Sliabh Liag. Passengers were enchanted by the stunning coastline and many said they would plan to return in the future to take more time to explore the area.
The craft fair was also arranged for passengers and many local artists and crafts people had the opportunity to display their works for the cruise ship visitors. From glass to knitwear, paintings and pictures, the best of local craft was showcased on the day.
